Precast Washing
Bob’s is Highly Trained with Thousands of Projects Done
Washing new construction precast concrete is typically required due to discoloration of the panel that can occur during the process of production, storage, transport, or erection of a new precast building. Discoloration can also occur post installation from the conditions of a job site. This discoloration is typically caused by the following:
- Dirt and dust from the production and storage of the panel at the precast plant.
- Road grime and soiling from the transportation of the panel to the site, especially for long haul transportation.
- During erection of the panels, it is possible to get oil and grease stains from the equipment (cranes) or from the handling of the panel from the installation team.
- Once installed, dust, dirt, rust, or other debris may stain the face of the panel from general construction occurring on the site.
- Sealants, oils, insulation, and other materials can stain the panel during the construction of the surrounding infrastructure on the building.
- Pollution, and efflorescence can occur and stain the panels.
This discoloration and staining does not affect the long term performance of the precast. Our washing process will blend the discoloration leaving your customers thrilled with the final appearance.
